Maggie Ryan Sandford writes nonfiction, fiction, and performs and produces work for stage and screen. More specifically…

Her writing appears regularly on ComedyCentral.com and the Onion/A.V. Club, has appeared in mental_floss magazine, Minnesota Monthly online, the Walker Art Center’s access+ENGAGE arts magazine, and will appear in a forthcoming McSweeney’s anthology.

She has worked in production for TV and radio. She also writes copy, for such clients as Nokia, Malt-O-Meal, and Not For Tourists. Full Professional Resume HERE.

She has read/performed at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, People’s Improv Theater, and the Moth StorySLAM in New York, the Seattle Poetry Festival, and on National Public Radio. Full Artistic Resume HERE.

In 2001, she received the semi-annual Richard Hugo House Founders’ Award for writers.

In 2010, she won Literary Death Match 100.

She graduated from Macalester College, with a major in English and minor in biology.

She currently resides in Minneaoplis, with roots in Seattle and New York. She works in all of these places, as a freelancer-for-hire.
